AquaLog Privacy Policy

The short version: AquaLog stores the aquarium information you
enter so you can see it on your devices. We do not sell your data, we do not
show ads, and you can permanently delete everything from inside the app at any
time (Settings → Delete my account).
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and an encrypted
password, handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Content you create. Tanks, specifications, livestock,
maintenance logs, water-test results, aquascape designs, and any photos
you choose to add.
- Diagnostic information. Basic crash and error logs used
only to fix problems.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and
AquaLog contains no third-party ad or analytics trackers.
How we use it
- To store and sync your aquarium records to your account.
- To generate care suggestions. When you request AI advice, the relevant
details about that tank (size, parameters, livestock, recent logs) are sent
to our AI provider, Groq, to produce the response. Your email address and
account identifier are never included.
- To keep the service running and secure.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that operate the app:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting.
- Groq — processes AI advice requests.
We never sell or rent your information, and we never share it for advertising.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account
and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete my
account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent — tanks,
logs, designs, photos, and your login are all removed and cannot be restored.
You can also email us at the address below to request deletion.
Children
AquaLog is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect
information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact
us and we will remove it.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or delete it
entirely. Email the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date at
the top. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
